Version 3.4
New
- This app replaces the Assets on the Go app. The last version of Assets is v3.3.
- Assets documents from v3.3 can be imported. Earlier versions are not supported.
- An asset’s purchase date and a task’s due date can now be set to a single reference date. The reference date is enabled and changed using the Settings option on the sidebar (or the filter screen on iPhone).
- An unsaved document indicator has been added to the end of the document name which is shown at the top of the main list. An asterisk ‘*’ at the end of the name indicates the document has been changed and is waiting to be saved. No asterisk means the document is saved and up-to-date.
What’s Changed
- Reintroduces Mac support: for Apple Silicon only; Intel Macs are no longer supported.
- An asset’s age is also now shown in the asset editing screen, next to the purchase date.
- The CSV export document has been updated to include a ‘full name’ field, which is a concatenation of name, brand and model.
- Improved the screens for importing a receipt.
- On iPhone, a consolidated menu has been added to the right side of the top bar. Tapping the menu icon will add a new asset; tap and hold the menu icon to display the menu.
Bug Fixes
- Document import was not importing groups and tags.
- Minor UI layout fixes in the asset edit screen.
- Tag filter options were not being correctly applied to tasks.
- The document name would sometimes not display the full name, on the main list.
- Reminder is not being deleted (from the Reminders app) when a task is deleted.
- Importing an image or PDF from a file was not working on iPhone and iPad.
Version 3.3 (iPhone/iPad only)
Version 3.3 and all prior versions were released as Assets on the Go.
New
- The list of assets can now be exported to a CSV file.
Bug Fixes
- Removed application icon badge.
Version 3.2 (iPhone/iPad only)
New
- Receipts that are linked to an asset or task, now inherit the asset/task’s tags. Editing of the tags directly within the linked receipt is not supported. Similarly for tasks linked to assets.
- Exported receipts, when opened for editing, will now automatically remove links to assets/tasks that were not part of the export, rather than display an ‘Unknown’ in the links list.
- The groups displayed on the main screen can now be filtered using the Groups filter in the sidebar (filter screen on iPhone).
- On iPhone: added a Filter settings screen, accessed from the main screen using the filter button in the navigation bar.
- Added task reminders, which creates and links a reminder in the Reminders app for a chosen task.
- Added Equipment List report.
What’s Changed
- Updated for iOS 16.1 and macOS Ventura.
- Removed the ‘close document’ toolbar button from the sidebar’s navigation bar.
- Notes editing is now performed in-place in the notes field, instead of opening a dedicated notes editor screen.
- Improved workflow when importing photos.
- The Save and Cancel buttons have been removed from all screens. An explicit save is no longer required when editing any data as all changes will be automatically applied.
- In the task screen, a linked asset can now be tapped to view the asset.
- Added an overdue label to the task screen.
- Asset groups can no longer be renamed or deleted from the Asset screen. This can only be performed from the Groups filter.
- Removed task due notifications. This feature had a number of bugs making it unreliable.
- Added a share button to the Receipt Document screen.
- The asset and task notes field no longer supports Markdown formatting.
- Updated privacy policy.
Bug Fixes
- When importing the version 2 database into an empty document, the document had to be closed and then re-opened to see the imported data.
- In the Database Import screen, selecting Delete Database wasn’t actually deleting the database.
- Across the whole app, picker popup lists were sometimes failing to appear when their field was tapped.
- While editing an asset, task or receipt: if the Tags editor screen was opened and an associated tag was deleted, the tag was not being removed from the asset/task/receipt.
- In some cases, viewing a receipt would cause the app to hang.
- In the main screen, the asset notes popup was blank.
Version 3.1
New
- A ‘Hide all tasks’ option has been added to the side bar.
- The app can now export a report as a PDF. Tap the share button in the bottom toolbar and select one of the report options. The data in the PDF will be the same as shown in the list – use the filter options in the side bar before generating the report.
What’s Changed
- The icon for an overdue task has been changed.
- The Date range search option has been removed from the search filter menu and is now part of the side bar. (iPad & Mac)
- The Show completed tasks search option has been removed from the search filter menu and is now part of the side bar. (iPad & Mac)
- The Search Filter menu button has been removed. (iPad & Mac)
Bug Fixes
- A number of minor bugs and improvements were addressed in this release.
Version 3.0

What’s Changed

- Assets, tasks and receipts now have an optional Tag field to allow like things to be tagged.
- Asset lists have been removed. Existing asset lists will be converted into tags.
- Task groups have been removed. Existing task groups will be converted into tags.
- These release notes can also be viewed from the About screen.
