Welcome to our blog. We are Glenn and Sonja, living and cruising on our yacht, Songa.
Songa is a Fountaine Pajot Astréa 42 sailing catamaran, with electric motors. In the Astréa model line, it is the 268th hull built and the 2nd with the Smart Electric propulsion system installed. We commissioned Songa in May-June 2024 in La Rochelle, France, and began cruising from there. Read more about Songa.
Our previous home was a Bruce Roberts designed Spray 370 Pilothouse sailing yacht. We project managed the build through our own company, providing our own labour where we had the skills, and using subcontractors where we didn’t. The end result, in our opinion, was a beautifully fitted cruising home that is a mix of traditional and contemporary. Yamoya is now with her new owner’s, cruising the Queensland coast and beyond.
